YEREVAN, DECEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Kemal Tayfun Nargın who defrauded money from His Eminence ArchbishopAram Ateshian, General Vicar (Acting Patriarch) of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople is imprisoned for 4 years. “Armenpress” reports “Agos” periodical informs about this.
In 2014 Nargin, speaking on behalf of the then Prime Minister Erdoğan and defrauding Ateshian, usurped 6 thousan Turlish lira (nearly 2 thousand USD) under the pretext that the money is required for the final transfer of “Sanasaryan-Han” building to the Armenian community. He had a document belonging to the PM’s office, which later turned out to be fallacious.
By the decision of the court the perpetrator will be imprisoned for four years and will pay 16 thousand Turkish lira (nearly 5 thousand 400 USD).
