Aram I congratulates Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on assuming office

Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I has congratulated Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa on taking office, SANA news agency reported.

“The people of Syria, with its various communities, passed and withstood through countless hardships with patience and hope that justice and equality will reign in the country, and the rights of all Syrians will be respected without discrimination,” Aram I said in a letter sent on behalf of the Armenian community of Syria, according to SANA. 

He expressed hope that a new chapter of prosperity will open in the history of Syria thanks to the new leadership.

The Catholicos wished success to President Ahmed al-Sharaa.
