Aram I met with Canadian Prime Minister

His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia,  met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in Ottawa, Cilicia TV reports.

During the meeting, the situation in Lebanon, Syria, the Middle East, Armenia, Palestine and Gaza was discussed.

His Holiness shared his positions on these issues and raised the matter of Armenian prisoners held in Baku.

 Aram I urged the Canadian Prime Minister to take actions to secure the release of Armenian political prisoners held in Baku, support the right of return for Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians and ensure the preservation of the religious and cultural monuments of Nagorno-Karabakh.
