YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian community of France will organize large-scale protest actions on the ocassion of the visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to France. On September 18 a rally will be held in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy and the Armenians will express their indignation towards the Azerbaijan's policy and the decision to receive Aliyev in France. As Armenpress was informed by the Head of the French Office of the «Armenian Cause» of France Hrach Varzhapetyan, France is a country of human rights, justice and democracy and it should not receive the Azerbaijani President after the murderer Ramil Safarov's release in a country like France. «This time we should express our discontent more franticly. The action will be attended by many Armenians, who will act with united behaviour and trait», - said Hrach Varzhapetyan adding that the rally had a political importance.
As in the previous two years, now as well, the Armenian community of France will continue demanding from France to recognize the independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. «This will be our position, and we should not, in fact, accept and swallow any Azeri encroachments and any anti-Armenian propaganda», - emphasized the Head of the French Office of the «Armenian Cause» of France.
On the ocassion of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's arrival and planned actions the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) spread a special press release, which says:«Granting pardon to the murderer by the Azerbaijani President is clear encouragement of barbarism and anti-Armenianism. These events are the continuation of the genocidal logic of the Azerbaijani regime, which gets armed more and more for full destruction of the Armenians of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. To receive Aliyev in these conditions means to support his anti-Armenian policy. Ilham Liyev, who disregards the international rights, should not be received in the Elysee Palace. Aliyev, whose regime demolished the Armenian cultural heritage, in particular 4000 Armenian cross-stones in Hin (Old) Jugha, should not be received in Louvre».
Earlier Nouvelles d`Armenie informed that on September 17 at 17:30 local time, an action would take place in front of the cross-stone raised at the Armenian Church in Marseilles, during which the French Armenians would condemn the fact of pardoning of the murderer Ramil Safarov, who axe-killed the Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan. By this action the loical Armenians will address the international community, saying in particular that the international recognition of the independence of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic is more actual than ever and the Armenians will not ever allow anyone to violate their rights, the dignity of the country and the Armenian nation. Slogans «The murderer Ramil Safarov's protector Ilham Aliyev himself will recompense his sentence», «We do not think that receiving the leader of such a criminal country is of honor for France» will be announced at the protest action.
