“Conversations with Nature” event to take place in Yerevan’s Lovers’ Park ahead of ERNA festival

On September 14 at 6:30pm, the “Conversations with Nature” event will take place at Lovers’ Park in Yerevan.
The National Academy of Sciences of Armenia said the event will be held in the “Science Café” format ahead of the “European Researchers’ Night in Armenia” (ERNA) project’s science festival and the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17).
The speakers will be Areg Karapetyan, head of the Mountain Forestry Laboratory at the A. Takhtajyan Institute of Botany; Alla Aleksanyan, senior researcher at the same institute; and Arsen Gasparyan, assistant professor at the American University of Armenia’s Acopian Center for the Environment and a biodiversity researcher.
The event will be held as part of the ERNA project, with the support of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia, UrbanLab, an independent urban research organization, and the Boghossian Gardens project.
The 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) will be held in Armenia from October 19-30, 2026.
