Concert marks COP17’s closing in Yerevan

A celebratory concert bringing together prominent figures from Armenia’s music scene is marking the closing of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) in Yerevan.

An Armenpress correspondent reports that the concert is currently under way at the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden in the Cascade complex, offering the audience an evening of varied musical performances.

The line-up includes the Armenian State Jazz Orchestra, Sona Rubenyan, Inga Arshakyan, Gor Sujyan, Vahagn Hayrapetyan, Yerevan Calling and other artists.

The evening will conclude with special guest Tigran Hamasyan, the internationally renowned pianist and composer, presenting his MANIFESTE project.

The concert is COP17’s final cultural event in Yerevan, bringing together music and the idea of nature conservation.
