The Eurasian Economic Commission – the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), has introduced an anti-dumping duty on graphite electrodes of Chinese origin imported into the EAEU.

At the same time, Armenia is exempted by the Eurasian Economic Commission from paying the anti-dumping duty for imports of this product up to a volume of 700 tons, the Ministry of Economy reported.

“By the relevant decision of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, an anti-dumping duty has been imposed on graphite electrodes for use in furnaces, of Chinese origin, classified under EAEU HS code 8545 11 002 0, with a diameter of more than 520 mm but not exceeding 650 mm, or with a circular or other cross-sectional area of more than 2,700 cm² but not exceeding 3,300 cm², imported into the EAEU. At the same time, Armenia is exempted from paying the anti-dumping duty for imports of this product into the territory of Armenia up to 700 tons per year. This exemption will be valid for a period of five years,” the ministry said.
