Florian Escudié has been appointed France’s ambassador to Armenia, replacing Olivier Decottignies, who served as France’s ambassador to Armenia from July 2023 until the summer of 2026.
“Welcome to our newly appointed ambassador, Mr. Florian Escudié, who is taking office today,” the French Embassy in Armenia said on social media.
The newly appointed ambassador also spoke about his mission, posting a photo in front of the Embassy of France in Armenia.
“How pleasant it is to receive such a warm welcome in Armenia under the beautiful September sun. I look forward to meeting Armenians and getting to know them. I am proud that I will soon be making my contribution to the love story between France and Armenia,” Escudié wrote on X.
Escudié had earlier stated in a LinkedIn post that he considered it a great honor to represent France in Armenia and emphasized the importance of the continued development of Armenian-French bilateral relations.
