PM Pashinyan chairs meeting on Armenia–EU CEPA implementation progress

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a consultation on the progress of the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union, as well as the programs carried out within the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of the Republic of Armenia and responsible officials involved in the Armenia-EU partnership took part in the discussion.

During the consultation, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented the work carried out toward the implementation of CEPA, the progress achieved, and the reform processes underway in several sectors. In particular, the discussion addressed legislative reforms, improvements in the governance system, justice, human rights, economic competitiveness, environmental protection, and initiatives in the digital sector.

The meeting also addressed issues related to the approved implementation schedule of the Agreement, with reports indicating that positive outcomes have already been recorded in certain areas. The advancement of the justice reform agenda, the modernization of public administration tools, anti-corruption programs, and the introduction of digital solutions were highlighted as key examples of successful cooperation.

The strategic importance of implementing the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement was emphasized, noting its key role in Armenia-EU relations.

The Prime Minister instructed the responsible departments to ensure the consistent implementation of the commitments and programs outlined in the Agreement, to maintain transparency throughout the process, and to improve the public presentation of progress and results.

At the conclusion of the consultation, the outcomes were summarized, and the roadmap for future steps was clarified.
