SRC, IMF mission to discuss mechanisms for detecting undeclared employment

Deputy Chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) Vrezh Mkhitaryan has hosted representatives of an International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission.

According to the SRC, members of the mission will hold meetings with employees of the committee’s relevant departments from September 7 to 18.

The sides will discuss improvements to tax administration aimed at detecting undeclared employment, as well as opportunities to introduce international standards and best practices.

Mkhitaryan highlighted the importance of the longstanding and effective cooperation between the SRC and the IMF.

The sides expressed confidence that the IMF’s support and recommendations would contribute to more effective and transparent tax administration.
