Deputy Speaker Vardevanyan holds meeting with Swiss ambassador

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Aram Vardevanyan held a meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia Andrea Barbara Baumann.

The ambassador congratulated Aram Vardevanyan on his election as Deputy Speaker, the Parliament’s press service said in a readout.

The Deputy Speaker, thanking the ambassador for the congratulations, emphasized the importance of developing relations and expanding cooperation between Armenia and Switzerland.

He briefed the ambassador on Armenia’s domestic political situation and spoke about security issues and existing challenges.

Referring to parliamentary work, Vardevanyan emphasized the importance of the activities of the National Assembly friendship groups and deepening interparliamentary ties.

The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
