Armenia, France’s CEA-Leti discuss cooperation in microelectronics and semiconductors

Armenian Deputy Minister of Economy Tigran Gasparyan received a delegation from CEA-Leti, a leading French research and technology institute, on September 7.

According to the Armenian Ministry of Economy, representatives of the French-Armenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also attended the meeting.

The sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in microelectronics, semiconductors, photonics, digital technologies, as well as research and development.

The sides also discussed the implementation of joint programmes between CEA-Leti and Armenian universities and research institutions. They considered prospects for internships and doctoral programmes for students and researchers, joint research projects, as well as cooperation within international funding programmes.

Gasparyan presented Armenia’s technology ecosystem, the capabilities of its research and educational institutions, and state support instruments for the development of the sector.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to continue discussions and identify possible areas of cooperation.
