Swiss ambassador reaffirms support for Armenia’s reform agenda

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hayk Konjoryan (Civil Contract) held a meeting with Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia Andrea Barbara Baumann.

According to a readout from the parliament’s press service, Konjoryan emphasized the importance of Armenia-Switzerland relations and cooperation in various areas.

Speaking about parliamentary cooperation, the Deputy Speaker emphasized that friendship groups will be formed in the National Assembly in the near future, including the Armenia-Switzerland Friendship Group.

Konjoryan touched upon the agenda and priorities of Civil Contract’s activities in the newly elected parliament and emphasized the continuation of democratic reforms.

The ambassador congratulated Hayk Konjoryan on his election as Deputy Speaker. Andrea Barbara Baumann noted that Switzerland continues to support the reform agenda in Armenia to strengthen democratic processes.

The two sides exchanged views on regional developments.
