YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is a dynamically developing technology hub, and hosting this year's conference provides an opportunity for global technology leaders to explore advancements in artificial intelligence and new technologies. It also brings together brilliant minds and fosters collaboration that promises meaningful reforms in the coming years.

Chairman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) Sean Seah made these statements at the World Congress of Innovation and Technology (WCIT 2024) in Yerevan, welcoming the organizers and delegates from various countries.

He emphasized that Armenia hosted this platform in 2019, highlighting its experience in this regard. Before addressing the agenda for the next three days, the head of WITSA informed attendees that the organization's general conference had already concluded, and he has the honor of serving as president of the organization in 2025-26. He also introduced the newly elected board members.

"The spirit of international cooperation characterizes this congress and enhances our global technological system. Within the framework of this congress, we will delve into the future of artificial intelligence, as it is a leading technology that will be the main topic of our discussions. It undoubtedly reforms societies and economies, so we will examine its multifaceted role in critical areas such as cybersecurity, business development, global marketing, and more. WITSA is also proud to present its World Cup funding. Starting next Monday, representatives from different parts of the world will compete for this award," Sean Seah said. He expressed his appreciation to governments as valuable partners in the digital technology arena.

"We will discuss the Global Network of Artificial Intelligence, which connects existing cooperation across six continents, promoting innovation and development in the field of artificial intelligence. Our goal is to build a global ecosystem network that fosters collaboration and ensures knowledge exchange among participants. This network will enhance AI capabilities. We aim to create a decentralized network that promotes knowledge generation, technology integration, and resource engagement worldwide. The ecosystem network facilitates the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies aimed at inclusivity, sustainable development, and economic growth,” said Sean Seah, Chairman of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).

According to him, it is very important for the organization to present its conceptual document at the congress, which serves as a driving force. This document outlines clear objectives. As artificial intelligence technologies are developing rapidly, the document aims to provide a clear vision for leveraging these advancements to promote sustainable development. The speaker emphasized that governments regard this document as strategic, as it articulates the main principles of WITSA.

In conclusion, he expressed gratitude to the Armenian side for organizing the event at a high level.
