Catholicos Aram I to pay pontifical visit to Lattakia, Kessab and Tartus

YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of the Great House of Ciliciawill pay a pontifical visit to the Armenian-populated Lattakia, Kessab and Tartus districts of Syria.

Catholicos Aram I will address a message in Lattakia’s church of the Holy Mother of God.

Lattakia is Syria’s 5th largest city, it is famous for its large Armenian community.

Armenian communities exist in Kessab and Tartus as well, which perhaps greatly suffered from the Syrian war, but maintained their cultural values and the Armenian identity.
