1 wounded in Nagorno-Karabakh after Azerbaijan opens gunfire using 23mm anti-aircraft autocannon

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. 1 person in Nagorno-Karabakh was wounded Sunday evening when Azerbaijani Armed Forces breached the ceasefire and opened gunfire using small arms and ZU-23-2 autocannon, the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening wounds.

The gunfire happened around 18:20 in the Martakert region.

Nagorno-Karabakh’s Defense Ministry said it has notified the Russian peacekeepers on the shooting.

At the same time, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry spread more fake news, falsely accusing Nagorno-Karabakh of opening gunfire, in what Nagorno-Karabakh described as a disinformation through which Azerbaijan is attempting to justify its own ceasefire violation.
