YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Russian Lenta.ru website published extensive article about Armenia where it referred to the charm and prospects of the country’s tourism. As “Armenpress” reports, the website wrote in the article, titled “How Armenia turns into a centre for gastronomic tourism”, that, after rental of the comedy “Without Borders” was released, which actions is taking place in the Caucasus, everyone paid attention to that region. Large number of tourists visits Armenia and look for a special and interesting cuisine. Armenia is known for its wine production and for Armenian cognac associated with Armenia in Russian spoken world.
The website referred to the history of Armenian cognac, noticing that it was introduced in French exhibitions at the beginning of last century and was awarded with prizes. It is mentioned that Biblical Mount Ararat is the symbol of the country, becoming Armenia’s brand and Armenian cognac is “born” right from the white grape of Ararat valley. Armenia has all the opportunities for the development of wine production tourism.
Referring to Armenian cuisine, the website mentioned that one can make a tour along Armenian markets and buy delicious jams made from walnuts and salty cheese.
Concluding the article, Lenta.ru mentioned that it is very pleasant to walk along Yerevan’s, streets made from red tufa, in the evening not forgetting to enjoy Armenian strong coffee, cherry, mulberry, apricot or pear vodka and to visit to” Malkhas” jazz club.
