YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 21, ARMENPRESS: The pension reforms will enable the young people to ensure their well-being not 30-40 years after but right now. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan stated about it on February 21. According to him, such institutional reforms will foster the economic growth and will import a new thinking in the Republic of Armenia. “Certainly it is not easy to introduce a new thinking in the Government and the society, but we should go forward. Our political team, headed by the President of the Republic Serzh Sargsyan, has this belief that this is the right reform and that will ensure the future of Armenia. This is the reform that will bring changes and will create institutional structures. This is the reform to change the way of thinking and to form a civil society and finally it is the reform to form a responsible citizen”, - said the Prime Minister, Armenpress reports.
Tigran Sargsyan stated that populism is acceptable for the opposition, as it is a kind of a political struggle but for the country it will be disastrous if the authorities take up populism. “In this case the power, using the compulsion instrument, creates new future. This is my belief”, - said the Armenia’s PM.
In the Republic of Armenia the mandatory accumulative pension system was put into force since January 1.
