Prime Minister reviews major road repairs in Armavir region and visits Metsamor community

YEREVAN, JULY 26, ARMENPRESS.During his visit to the Armavir region, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan reviewed the progress of major repairs on the Yerevan-Armavir interstate highway and the 7.3 km Tsiatsan-Aghavnatun-Lernamerdz road. Pashinyan also visited the Metsamor community. The PM mentioned on his Facebook page that the major repairs on the 7.3 km Tsiatsan-Aghavnatun-Lernamerdz road are in the final stage.

The Government has allocated 784 million drams for the implementation of the project.

“I also spoke with the sellers of agricultural products at the market adjacent to the road,” said the Prime Minister.

Regarding the 5.62 km Yerevan-Armavir-Armenian border interstate highway, Pashinyan mentioned that both the right-hand and left-hand sections are undergoing repairs.

“Rehabilitation works on the drainage system are also being carried out. The cost of the project is 1 billion drams, allocated from the state budget,” added the Prime Minister.

Summing up his visit to the Metsamor community, the Prime Minister mentioned that the Government has allocated utility equipment to the community worth 512 million drams.

“The Metsamor municipality will operate in a completely renovated building. As part of the subsidy program, the former polyclinic building has been fully renovated and repurposed into the municipality’s administrative building. The total cost of the project is 252 million drams, of which 88 million drams were allocated by the Government,” the Prime Minister said.
