Paravakar-Vazashen alternative road to be much safer

YEREVAN, JANUARY 22, ARMENPRESS. New road connecting the Paravakar and Vazashen villages to each other will be exploited from June of the current year. The Government of the Republic of Armenia had allocated AMD 460 million for the construction of the road. The Director of the Transport Project Implementation Unit of the Ministry of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Armenia Alexander Bakhtamyan stated this at the course of the press conference held in the Media Centre on January 22. In addition Bakhtamyan noted that they have considered all the safety regulations during the construction and walls with total height of 2-5 metres will be erected on left and right sides of the road.

As reports “Armenpress” the representative of the Operative Department of the Armed Forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Colonel Andranik Mkrtumyan underscored that during the previous year the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime in the Tavush Province for 1,600 times.
