Armenia and Russia eliminate customs duty on gas, oil and not recycled diamonds, boost nuclear cooperation

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. The Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation signed an agreement on the elimination of the customs duty of gas, oil and not recycled diamond. “Armenpress” reports that the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Armen Movsisyan and the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak signed the agreement with the presence of the Presidents of Armenia and Russia Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin in the presidential residence of the Republic of Armenia. Armenia and Russia also signed the program on the measures of the economic cooperation assigned for 2014-2017. Besides, the chairman of “Rosatom” Sergey Kiriyenko and Armen Movsisyan signed an agreement on the cooperation of nuclear security. The Foreign Affairs Ministers of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation Eduard Nalbandyan and Sergey Lavrov, signed the program of the conferences to be held in 2014-2015. Agreements were signed in other areas, as well. The CEO of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller stated that the price of the Russian gas will change for Armenia and will be sold in internal prices of Russia.
