YEREVAN, JUNE 17, ARMENPRESS: The Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia did not have any connection with the deals between the Rhinoville Property Limited international company and the Nairit Plant producing synthetic rubber. As reported by Armenpress, this was stated by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan in the interview given to the Radio Liberty touching upon the talks on the large-scale depredation of the state funds at the Nairit Plant and particularly about the fact that the Rhinoville Property Limited international company got the 90% of the shares of the Nairit Plant from the Central Bank as a gift, after which the company pawned the shares of the Plant in the CIS Interstate Bank and received a credit of 70 million USD and entered the state budget only 39 million USD, thus stealing the rest.

At that time Tigran Sargsyan was the Rotation Director of the CIS Interstate Bank Council. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia clarified, that when some commercial banks went bankrupt, their shares of the Nairit Plant went to the Central Bank, which donated them to the Government of Armenia. The Government, holding negotiations with different investors, signed an agreement with the Rhinoville Property Limited.

In 2006 the Rhinoville Property Limited international company purchased 90% of the shares of the Nairit Plant CJSC. The other 10% belong to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia.

The Nairit Plant CJSC was established in 1940. On December 1 2008 the work of the Plant was stopped because of the financial crisis. About 1,500 employees were dismissed. The employees of the Nairit Plant are being paid the debts of their salaries by parts.
