Bolivian police seize bus chartered for Brazilian football club after finding 86 kg of marijuana

Bolivian police have seized a bus chartered to transport Brazilian football club São Paulo’s team during its stay in Bolivia after finding 86.55 kilograms of marijuana hidden inside the vehicle.
The UOL news outlet reported that the incident occurred ahead of São Paulo’s Copa Sudamericana Round of 16 match against Bolivian club Bolívar.
During a routine inspection in the Cochabamba region, officers from the Mobile Rural Patrol Unit (UMOPAR) discovered four jute sacks inside the bus. The sacks contained bricks of marijuana weighing a total of 86.55 kilograms.
Three drivers responsible for the vehicle were arrested during the operation.
The transport company provided São Paulo with another bus.
