At a press conference organized on April 28 as part of his official visit to Estonia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the signing of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan, noting that Armenia will continue its strategy until the peace agreement is signed.
"Our government, and I personally, are working on this issue on a daily basis. We are consistent and determined in this matter. We will consistently and patiently continue this strategy until the goal — that is, the peace agreement — is signed, peace is established, and we will not deviate from that path," he said.
Addressing relations with Russia and the EU, Pashinyan said that they do not pose a problem with any deterioration in relations.
"This is a very important nuance. Two theoretical approaches are possible: deepening relations in one direction and ruining relations in the other. We are not in favor of that approach. Our approach is to use our sovereignty to deepen our relations in all the directions in which we want to have deeper relations, where our relations are not deep enough. Armenia-European Union relations are exactly that.
"Of course, there may be situations involving certain tensions and intersections in our foreign relations in different directions. We envision managing this situation with our transparency, our honesty, and our openness to all our partners, so that our approaches and understandings are sufficiently clarified to all our partners.
