Azerbaijan and Türkiye begin joint production of naval drones

Joint production of SALVO and KAYRA naval drones developed using Turkish technology has begun in Azerbaijan, according to the official website of the Azerbaijani President, which reported on Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the country’s naval forces.
Two types of drones are being produced at a joint production facility operated by MIRAS Military-Industrial Company, which is under the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry, and Turkish shipbuilding company DEARSAN Shipyard: SALVO armed unmanned surface vessels and KAYRA kamikaze unmanned surface vessels.
Aliyev was briefed on the purpose and tactical and technical characteristics of the vessels. The unmanned vessels produced at the joint facility then underwent practical tests.
