Armenian FM meets Latvian think tank representatives in Riga

Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan met with representatives of Latvia’s leading think tanks in Riga.

During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan presented developments in the South Caucasus, the work being carried out to maintain and further develop a favorable security environment around Armenia, regulate and/or develop relations with the countries of the region, as well as deepen partnerships outside the region, the ministry said in a press release.

Ararat Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s approaches to further institutionalizing peace. He spoke about initiatives aimed at promoting regional connectivity, including progress in implementing the TRIPP project.

He also highlighted Armenia’s balanced and balancing foreign policy, as well as the agenda for expanding strategic partnerships. The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade emphasized the importance Armenia attaches to further developing cooperation with the Baltic countries in specific areas, as well as to exchanging experience on issues of interaction with the EU.

Minister Mirzoyan also presented the work being carried out by Armenia to diversify economic ties and strengthen economic resilience.
