Georgia can serve as a platform for Armenia and Azerbaijan to discuss controversial issues and work toward solutions.
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili reaffirmed her country’s position during a panel discussion held in Antalya with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.
The Georgian Foreign Minister assured that her country is committed to continuing to provide tools and opportunities for effective cooperation.
According to her, achieving a peaceful region is a priority for Georgia, especially given the South Caucasus’s significant development potential that requires stable and lasting peace to be fully realized.
“We welcome the agreement on the content of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The signing of the document would be a major achievement. We must continue deepening the historically and traditionally strong relations between Georgia and its two neighbors, particularly as we have already established strategic-level cooperation with both. This is a significant contribution by Georgia to the region. All Transcaucasian countries have expressed political will to cooperate,” Botchorishvili said.
