Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need for Armenia and Azerbaijan to mutually open communications routes for each other, that is, from Armenia to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan, and from Azerbaijan to Azerbaijan through the territory of Armenia.
According to Agos newspaper, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told journalists from Turkey who arrived in Armenia as part of a media tour organized for Turkish media outlets.
Addressing the November 9 statement and the issue of the so-called "Zangezur corridor," the Prime Minister emphasized that the term is incomprehensible and unacceptable for Armenia.
“First of all, Armenia has nothing to do with this phrase, and when it is used, it is perceived in the Republic of Armenia as a territorial claim against Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Pashinyan said.
He also referred to his recently published article on the subject, highlighting that Armenia supports the opening of regional communications. Pashinyan underscored that Armenia's primary reason for this stance is that it remains under blockade.
And first of all, Armenia is in favor of opening regional communications because it is actually under blockade.
