Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, in a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, who is in Armenia on a working visit, presented the latest developments in the normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, as well as the ongoing border delimitation process between the two countries.
Pashinyan informed his Georgian counterpart that Armenia is interested in lifting the blockade and fully resuming regional economic infrastructure, which should be achieved within the framework of full respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of borders of all countries.
"In this context, I reinforced the importance of implementing Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace project, which offers concrete and tangible prospects for Armenia, Georgia, and other countries in our region. I also emphasized the need to ensure inclusiveness in regional and extra-regional projects. In this regard, we highlight Armenia's interest and readiness to join the Black Sea Power Cable project," Pashinyan said.
The two prime ministers also discussed ongoing efforts to establish and strengthen peace and stability in the South Caucasus region.
“I have presented to my colleague the developments in the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, emphasizing that Armenia has put forward very specific proposals and solutions on all issues of mutual concern and is awaiting Azerbaijan’s constructive response. I reaffirm that the Armenian government is committed to advancing the peace agenda and will continue to make active efforts in that direction,” Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister also briefed his Georgian counterpart on the latest developments in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation process, noting that an agreement has been reached to begin the next stage of border demarcation in the immediate vicinity of the Armenia-Georgia-Azerbaijan interstate border crossing point.
