Homes, roads and bridges have been damaged following heavy rains in Georgia’s Imereti region, Sputnik’s Georgian service reported.
In the Baghdati municipality, water overflowed its banks, damaging homes, roads, bridges and agricultural land. A landslide occurred in the village of Nergeeti.
A total of 1,300 households were left without gas, while 700 were left without electricity.
According to the media outlet, heavy machinery is working at the scene to clear the affected areas and assess the damage.
