YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian chess men’s team will start the games in the European team championship. For the member of the Armenian team Sergey Movsisyan the most important is to take the highest horizontals. Armenpress interviewed the Grand Master.
- When and how did you begin playing chess?
- I have been playing chess since I was four. My father taught me playing and then I began playing with my grandfather. Playing chess is a tradition in our family.
- All consider the secret of our team’s success to be the unity.
- It is hard to speak about the secrets. Certainly, the unity helps us a lot. It brings us success. I hope that will continue. I should say that Levon Aronyan helps us a lot beyond the team, as we are always in touch.
- The European championship will start soon. How is the mood of the team?
- Much time has passed since 1999 when we became European champions. From that team only Levon Aronyan and Arshak Petrosyan have remained. The others have not yet become European champions and for us it is very important to win in this tournament. We will struggle for the highest horizontals in the European championship.
