Armenian chess player wins in Gibraltar Tournament

YEREVAN, JANUARY 30, ARMENPRESS: The member of the Armenian national chess men’s team Sergey Movsisyan continues his successful performances in the Gibraltar Tournament. Armenpress reports that in the second round Movsisyan played with whites and won the representative of Georgia Lela Javakhishvili. Armen Proudian, representing Brazil, shared the point with Eduardo Angel and Krikor-Sevag Mkhitaryan also won in the first round.

Earlier it was reported that Sergey Movsisyan launched the Gibraltar Tournament with a victory. In the first round Movsisyan was competing with the Norwegian Vegar Koi Gandrud. The Armenian chess player played with blacks and won the opponent.

The Grand Masters Sergey Movsisyan, Krikor-Sevag Mkhitaryan, as well as Armen Proudian and Yerazik Khachaturian are participating in the traditional great open being held from January 28 till February 5, 2014 in Gibraltar.
