July 5 may become State Symbols Day in Armenia

YEREVAN, JULY 2, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Government will discuss the project of law which suggests to determine State Symbols Day and make it state holiday. In case of approval the project will be introduced to National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.

“Armenpress” reports calling the official website of the government that the project is included in the government’s July 4 session’s agenda. “The determination of State Symbols Day suggests education of a citizen who has pro-statehood outlook which will be expressed with responsibility feeling directed to welfare of society and motherland as well as readiness to serve for the country. To the choice of the date mostly corresponds July 5 –the Constitution Day,” is said in the statement of the project.

The aim of determining a day for state symbols of the Republic of Armenia is the target maintenance of state symbols, strengthening respect towards statehood, formation of civil society, keeping national identity and etc.
