Turkish Beşiktaş interested in Aras Ozbiliz

YEREVAN, JULY 2, ARMENPRESS. Turkish Beşiktaş football club is interested in the services of the midfielder of the Armenian National Football Team and Kuban Krasnodar Aras Ozbiliz. As reports "Armenpress" Istanbul-based Armenian "Agos" periodical stated this. Among other things it was stated that the management of the Turkish club is currently negotiating with Kuban Krasnodar for the transfer of the Armenian football player and they are ready to pay € 5 million. Aras Ozbiliz will get € 1,5 million from the transfer. Monaco and Russian Spartak are interested in the Armenian footballer's services as well.

Aras Ozbiliz is an Armenian football player who currently plays right-winger for the Armenian national team and for Russian Premier League club FC Kuban Krasnodar. Aras was born on 9 March 1990 in the Bakırköy district of Istanbul, Turkey to Armenian parents. He was named after the Aras River, a body of water in Armenia. His ancestors adopted the surname "Özbiliz". Their family name was once Zbilizyan. In the early 1990s, his family emigrated from Turkey to the Netherlands. Five years later, he started playing football for the youth team of HVV Hollandia. When he was eight years old, Araz joined the youth team of Ajax. Aras was raised in Hoorn, Netherlands and holds both Dutch and Armenian citizenship. He received his Armenian passport on 4 October 2011, as he wanted to represent the Armenian national team, making his debut for Armenia on 29 February 2012.

On 4 May 2012 press-service of Kuban Krasnodar announced that they were in talks to acquire Ozbiliz. However, only on 8 August this transfer was officially announced. Aras was transferred for a sum of €1 million.
