At least two years ago President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that the military industry of Azerbaijan was on a rise and soon the Armed Forces would buy not American or the Israeli-made unmanned aerial vehicles but the Azerbaijani ones, military expert Artsrun Hovhannisyan told a news conference today, adding that the case connected with the eliminated UAV of Azerbaijan in the territory of Artsakh proved that long time will pass until the Azerbaijani-made "flyers" appear in the air.
"The destroyed flying vehicle was of Israeli production. Where are the unmanned aerial vehicles of Azerbaijani production? It appears that Armenia that was keeping silence for many years has more developed military industry than Azerbaijan that has a separate ministry of military industry", Hovhannisyan said, adding that in many cases two ministries in Azerbaijan - the defense and military-industry - are trying to seize more money which harms the Azerbaijani armed forces.
"In our neighboring state there is a real conflict between these two ministries and ministers. Both of them want to earn more money at the same time being people of different political views", the expert said.
Psychologist Samvel Khudoyan said the military parade in Yerevan has left a deep trace not only on the Azerbaijani public but the ruling authorities. "Currently they are trying to use all the possible sources to find justifications and presenting them. Among them is the participation of the Russian troops in the Yerevan parade. All the Azerbaijani mass media were voicing that the military power of Armenia is agreed with Russia only", the psychologist said, stressing that in any case wrong and distorted comments by non-experts prove that Azerbaijan is unable to make political analyses and conclusions.
