Armenian vice prime minister gets acquainted with process of construction of a social house in Kasakh

YEREVAN, MARCH 24, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Vice Prime Minister, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan, accompanied with Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia Bushra Halepota, Head of the Migration State Service of the Territorial Administration Ministry Gagik Yeganyan, and responsible authorities of the Armenian Foreign Affairs Ministry visited today the province of Kotayk, got acquainted with the process of reconstruction of the multi-apartment social house in Kasakh community.
Press service of the Armenian Territorial Administration Ministry told Armenpress that the industrial sub-building of the former factory in the territory of the community’s administrative territory is being reconstructed with the support of the Japan government as a multi-apartment social house for providing refugees and inner dislodged people with apartments.
The social house which consisted of 20 apartments is intended to be put to exploitation in May, 2010. Besides that, opportunities for refugees of getting engaged in business (sewing factory, trade enterprise, etc.) are being develop; a spectator-hall of community significance will be constructed as well.
Afterward at the meeting held in Kasakh community office, preliminary issues on the forum to be organized in autumn in Yerevan for involving the means of international donor community for the solution of the dwelling issues of the refugees were discussed.
An importance was attached to the competence of the forum’s potential participants on the issues of refugees in Armenia, it was noted that in this issue the support of the representative of the Armenian office of the High Commissioner for Refugees is expected.
For the proper organization of the forum an inter-department working team is intended to set up. Currently about 1300 refugee families are involved in the programs implemented by the government, 95 of which in Yerevan, and over 45 million USD is required for the solution of those issues.
