Armenian, U.S. officials discuss TRIPP in Syunik

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia, as well as U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen and Senior Advisor for Policy and Planning at the State Department Dr. Jon Askonas, and U.S. engineering firm AECOM participated in meetings in Goris, Meghri, and Kapan to discuss the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP).

The TRIPP project’s Facebook account said in a press release that communities across Syunik heard directly from Armenian and U.S. officials about the implementation of TRIPP in Armenia, asked questions and shared their perspectives, and discussed how enhanced regional connectivity can create new economic opportunities for Armenia, particularly in Syunik, while supporting Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“Such dialogue will remain important in keeping communities informed and engaged throughout the implementation of TRIPP,” reads the press release.
