Armenia’s agro-food exports nearly back to last year’s level despite Russian restrictions

Armenia’s agro-food exports in January-July 2026 were almost at the level recorded in the same period last year despite Russian restrictions on imports of Armenian products, which Russia has imposed since May.

Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan released the figures on Wednesday.

“It is difficult, but we have almost reached last year’s export volume. Here’s how: in January-July 2026, the volume of agro-food exports amounted to $849 million, which is only 1.9% lower than in January-July 2025 ($865 million).

We continue to look for new markets,” Papoyan wrote in a social media post.
