The V. Sargsyan Music School in Sevan welcomed Japanese pianist Sakura Nishioka for a special event celebrating cultural cooperation, friendship and music.

According to a press release from the Sevan City Hall, the event brought together representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Armenia, including Deputy Head of Mission Yoko Anazawa; Acting Executive Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Zaruhi Aznauryan and members of her team; Sevan Deputy Mayor Suren Hambardzumyan; representatives of the Sevan City Hall and the Gegharkunik Regional Administration; as well as other guests.

Japanese pianist Sakura Nishioka warmly accepted the invitation and performed works by renowned classical composers for the audience.

The evening began with performances by students and teachers of the Sevan Music School, featuring a variety of musical instruments, followed by Nishioka’s piano performances.

The event highlighted the role of music in bringing people and cultures together.

“Cultural dialogue not only took place, but also came to prove that the language of music knows no boundaries, that it is understood by everyone and can build new bridges of friendship.

Within the walls of the music school’s concert hall, performances by musicians representing different cultures intertwined, making the concert an excellent opportunity to strengthen the cultural ties between the two peoples, discover one another, and look forward to new encounters and prospects for cooperation.

The musical celebration took place with Armenian-Japanese highlights, offering wonderful moments to the guests hosted at the V. Sargsyan Music School,” the Sevan City Hall said in a statement.
