Armenian national football team player Tigran Barseghyan announced his retirement from the team on Wednesday.
“Dear fans, I want to inform you that I have decided to end my career with the Armenian national team.
It has been a great honor and responsibility for me to wear the Armenian national team jersey for many years and to represent the colors of our country. I would like to express my gratitude to all the coaches who trained me in the national team, my teammates, the team’s medical and administrative staff, everyone at the Football Federation of Armenia, and, of course, our loyal fans, who have always been by our side — in both victories and defeats.
I will continue to support the national team, now in a new role as a fan. I wish our national team success and great achievements,” the footballer said in a statement.
Barseghyan joined the Armenian national team in 2016. He made 64 appearances and scored 9 goals.
The 32-year-old also plays as a winger for Slovan Bratislava.
