Armenia, UK discuss elevating bilateral ties to strategic partnership

Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia Arayik Harutyunyan met with Mark Clayton, Deputy Director for Central Asia and Eastern Europe at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
According to a readout from the Prime Minister’s Office, welcoming Clayton's visit to Armenia, Harutyunyan noted that Armenia–United Kingdom bilateral cooperation has been consistently developing and deepening in recent years across all areas of mutual interest.
Clayton, in turn, underscored the United Kingdom's readiness to support democratic reforms in Armenia.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues, including prospects for deepening cooperation in trade, economic and business relations, as well as in the fields of education and science.
Both parties emphasized the importance of elevating Armenia–United Kingdom relations to the level of a strategic partnership and entering a new stage of cooperation.
