Urban Development Committee Chair and Deputy High-Tech Industry and AI Minister highlight importance of joining efforts to implement innovative projects

A meeting was held under the leadership of Urban Development Committee Chair Yeghiazar Vardanyan with Tatev Aslanyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry and Artificial Intelligence of Armenia, the Urban Development Committee said in a statement.

“The possibilities of using artificial intelligence tools to develop sectors coordinated by state institutions and improve services provided to citizens were discussed. Deputy Minister Tatev Aslanyan presented the ministry’s vision regarding the use of high-performance AI computing resources (GPUs) in projects proposed by state institutions. Possibilities for providing both technical and professional support were considered.

“Yeghiazar Vardanyan stressed that the digitalisation of the urban development sector is one of the committee’s priorities and that cooperation with the ministry would raise initiatives aimed at addressing sectoral issues to a new level,” the statement said.

Committee Deputy Chair Vahan Misakyan then presented preliminary ideas for the use of artificial intelligence tools in the urban development sector, referring to the steps taken so far towards digitalisation.

The Deputy Minister and the Committee Chair highlighted the importance of joining efforts to implement innovative projects.
