Pashinyan, Rahmon discuss bilateral cooperation

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met on Monday with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

According to a readout from the Prime Minister’s Office, President Rahmon congratulated Pashinyan on his reappointment as Prime Minister and wished him further success.

The Tajik President highlighted the importance of developing ties with Armenia in various areas and expressed confidence that, through joint efforts, bilateral cooperation would develop and expand in various areas.

The Prime Minister thanked President Rahmon for the congratulations and good wishes, noting with satisfaction that bilateral political dialogue is at a high level. At the same time, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to develop trade and economic cooperation. The leaders of the two countries highlighted the work of the intergovernmental commission.

The parties exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest. They also touched upon regional processes and developments.
