A court has ruled to jail billionaire tycoon Samvel Karapetyan again, just over two weeks after a lower court had granted him bail and placed him under house arrest.
The house arrest decision was overturned on January 16 by the Anti-Corruption Court of Appeal. Karapetyan, the owner of the Tashir Group of Companies, was jailed for another two months in pretrial detention on charges of publicly calling for a coup. He also faces a money laundering indictment.
He denies the charges.
