Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister receives French Special Envoy for EPC

Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan received Hugues Moret, Special Envoy for the European Political Community at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies, the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia said in a readout.

The parties discussed issues related to the holding of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, which will take place in Armenia in May next year, as well as the preparatory work being carried out in that direction.

Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the work is in an active phase and that the Government of Armenia is making every effort to organize the summit at a high level. According to him, hosting the summit will further strengthen Armenia–EU cooperation and contribute to the implementation of new joint programs.

Hugues Moret expressed confidence that the event will be held in Armenia in the best possible way and emphasized France's readiness to support further preparatory work in various directions. The parties also touched upon the further development of Armenia–France relations.
