Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Razmik Kurdyan, from the U23 national team, will face Iran’s Fardin Hedayati — gold medalist at the 2025 Asian Wrestling Championships — in the 130kg final bout on October 21 at the UWW U23 World Championships in Serbia.
Kurdyan reached the final with an impressive winning streak, defeating Belarusian wrestler Ilya Shumchyk (competing under the UWW flag) in the Round of 16 (3–4, 1–3), Artur Sarkisjan from the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals (3–2, 3–1), and Russian wrestler Alexander Melekhov (also under the UWW flag) in the semifinals (5–1, 3–1).
