Hundreds of Turkish tourists visit Armenian Genocide museum in Yerevan every year

The Armenian Genocide Museum in Yerevan sees up to 100,000 visitors annually, including foreign tourists, according to the museum’s director Edita Gzoyan.

The Armenian Genocide Museum is the third most-visited museum in Armenia, she said.

“The geography of visitations to our museum is rather encompassing and I have to say we’ve recently seen some changes in its structure. Years ago, most visitors were from Russia and various European countries, but now we see that the number of tourists coming from China, South Korea and the Philippines has been growing,” Gzoyan said, adding that the museum sees several hundred visitors from Turkiye every year.

The audio-guide service in the museum features English, French and Russian languages, and furthermore Chinese and Korean will be added soon. The audio-guide will be then updated with German, Arabic and Italian.

Last year, 300 Turkish tourists visited the museum, Gzoyan said.
