UK Minister of State for Defense visits Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan

UK Minister of State for Defense Vernon Coaker visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex in Yerevan.

The UK official was accompanied by Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan, Armenia’s Ambassador to the UK Varuzhan Nersisyan, and the UK Ambassador to Armenia Alexandra Cole.

Edita Gzoyan, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, presented the history of the memorial.

Minister Coaker laid a wreath at the memorial in honor of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The delegation then laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and observed a minute of silence.

UK Minister of State for Defense Vernon Coaker is visiting Yerevan to open the UK’s first permanent Defence Section.
