Slovenia backs peace efforts in South Caucasus, Fajon assures Pashinyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, who is on an official visit to Armenia.
Welcoming Ms. Fajon, Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed confidence that the visit would give a new impetus to the further development of bilateral relations, his office said. He emphasized the need to intensify cooperation between the governments of Armenia and Slovenia to strengthen ties in political, economic, and other areas.
Ms. Fajon highlighted the consistent development of relations with Armenia. Speaking about the purpose of her visit, she noted that discussions on opportunities and further steps to promote bilateral cooperation are among the key points on the agenda.
According to the source, the parties also discussed topics of regional importance. In particular, they emphasized the agreement on the draft of the "Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan."
Prime Minister Pashinyan reiterated the Armenian government's commitment to the peace agenda.
For her part, Ms. Fajon reaffirmed Slovenia's support for efforts aimed at establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus, stressing the importance of dialogue and diplomatic cooperation. She underlined the significance of the Armenian Government’s "Crossroads of Peace" project in the context of unblocking regional communication routes.
It was also noted that views were exchanged on the further development of Armenia–European Union relations, support for ongoing democratic and institutional reforms in Armenia, and the potential for expanding close cooperation.
