Armenia has again launched the DiasPro program, offering qualified Armenian individuals from the Diaspora to volunteer and contribute their professional expertise in the Armenian public administration. The deadline of applications is March 7.

The program is carried out by the Office of the High Commissioner of Diaspora Affairs.

DiasPro was launched in 2024.

“This year the application deadline is March 7, so I urge everyone who wants to join the program to hurry up. Individuals who have at least one year of professional experience and higher education are eligible to participate, there is no age limit,” Anna Mheryan, the Head of the Department of Program Monitoring and Implementation, told Armenpress.

The work that the volunteers are involved in includes professional consultations, exchange of experience, trainings and other activities.

This year the four directions of expertise include Project Management, Foreign Language Expertise;Translation (English, Russian, French, Spanish, among others), MS Office Specialization and Graphic Design.

In 2024, out of the total 145 applications only 40 participants were selected and most of them are still involved in the work.

“We are still receiving applications this year, and the geography of applicants is rather broad, Argentina, the US, Russia, Austria, France, Germany and from other countries. And this year we have the very first application from Chile,” Mheryan added.

Mheryan underscored that DiasPro is a volunteer program and doesn’t include remuneration.

Most of the work can be conducted online, with exceptions for tasks that necessitate on-site involvement.
